On December 20, 2014 a group of young professionals gathered at the Ko Olina Beach Villas to tour the resort and the suite itself. This was a couple of their reviews…

Spent a night at the Ko’olina Beach Villas. I really didn’t know what to expect, but upon entering I was in awe of the decor, cleanliness, and overall space. I’m big on aesthetic and it was more than I imagined… Not to mention the amazing view of the ocean from the spacious balcony – perfect for watching the sunset!

Highly recommended for a family vacation as there is another room with 2 beds AND a balcony with an even better view of the ocean. The master bedroom has His and Hers sinks and a little walk-in closet which I love!

Overall enjoyed my stay here and how it is a min walk down to the beach! Would love to stay here longer in the future.

I recently celebrated a Christmas party with some close friends at the Ko’olina property. The location was easy to find and the having a location so close to the beach was a definite plus. Being nestled away on the west side of the island was a welcome contrast to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and downtown Honolulu.

As for the property itself, the room was located high enough that it provided a great panoramic view of the surrounding area. We arrived later on in the evening, so we weren’t able to enjoy a sunset from the lanai, but I could imagine it would be spectacular. Everything in the room was up to date with wifi, several flat screen TVs, and a fully furnished kitchen. The island in the kitchen provided for a great staging and entertaining area for the party.

Didn’t get a chance to test out the bed, but I’d assume if it was anything like the rest of the place, it would be top notch.

I do have to commend the viewpoint out from the lanai. It provided a great lounging area for the party and a nice distraction from the activity appending inside. The surrounding area is pretty quiet, so if you’re looking for a great getaway spot, you can’t ask for much more than this.

I would definitely look into booking this location for a longer period in the future. The place has a comfortable home away from home feel to it. Highly recommended.

On November 5, 2014 Ben J. left an extensive review for our Beach Villa in Ko Olina highlighting it’s features…

Property was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. We traveled with our three young kids and they had a great first trip to Hawaii. Every day we spent time swimming at the lagoon pool which was geared toward children as it only 3 to 4 feet deep, and the sandy bottom pool for kids that aren’t strong swimmers. There is another pool called the meditation pool which is reserved for adults for a quieter place to lounge. The beach was super clean and it too was great for kids as its really on a lagoon that breaks up any incoming waves. On our last day we saw an endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal sunbathing in the sand. As for the unit, it was exactly as depicted in the photos. The views of the ocean and sunsets from the two lanais were amazing. High end, extremely well equipped kitchen made it a pleasure to prepare our own meals for most breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. There is a small grocery (slightly pricey) within walking distance and larger Safeway about 4 miles away. In unit laundry was very handy for us traveling with kids. Closet full of beach accessories was very useful. We used the snorkel gear, beach towels, and beach chairs a couple of times. The best thing about the rental was the full wall of sliding pocket doors that open up the kitchen and living area to the large lanai. It really allowed you to feel like you were outside the whole time if you wanted, in my opinion such a better experience than being cooped up in a hotel room. We didn’t go to Hawaii to watch TV, but when we did have some down time it was nice to have the tvs, blue ray, wifi, etc. There are a few restaurants within a short walk, we ate dinner at MonkeyPod and enjoyed the atmosphere there. Two Scoops ice cream was also fun to visit with the kids. Ko Olina Golf Course is across the street and looks like a well conditioned course with many water features. I would have liked to have played if not on a family vacation. I highly recommend this unit and will try to book it again on our next trip to Hawaii. Rick was fantastic to work with and was able to make a last minute arrangement for us as we booked the day prior to arrival. He met us when we arrived to give us the tour and gave us recommendations on nearby beaches and stores. Mahalo Rick.
